Ed Ottenweller founded the company in 1916 as a blacksmith and iron repair shop with only six employees. Ed's vision was to create a company that would fit the demands of a growing community during a cultural and economic revolution in the early 20th century. He believed in hard work and quality craftsmanship in the products he delivered to his customers.

Although the company has expanded and evolved to succeed in today's market, current owners Michael, Gary and Nancy (Dwire) Ottenweller still strive to follow their grandfather's principles.
