I am the Vice President, responsible for the marketing, sales, and customer service functions. Working here provides a great deal of challenges from a variety of areas. You are always thinking of different strategies, which keep me very engaged. Never a boring moment! The most important thing for me to accomplish when conducting business with other companies is to provide a personal commitment that we are partners with them, and not just another supplier on their list. That we treat them with honesty and integrity in all that we do for them. We want [customers] to know that as a family owned company, the owners are involved and committed to being engaged in our customers' challenges, and that we are personally committed to doing whatever we can to help them succeed.
I graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in business with a major in Labor Relations (Human Resources). I have worked at the family business for 35 years, fulfilling many roles in different areas including human resources, benefits, accounting, and financial management. I love working at Ottenweller Company Inc. because it gives me the opportunity to see day in and day out the fruits of our labor. We have also had the opportunity to provide great jobs for people in our community. For me personally, I get to work every day with people I love and admire. The most important thing for me to accomplish when conducting business with other companies is to provide a quality product and conduct our business relationships in an ethical manner. I want to make sure that our customers always feel they can get an answer to their questions and concerns in a timely and accurate manner.

After graduating from Indiana University and a few years working in biotechnology insurance, I decided to further my education in Finance. I received my MBA from Northwestern University in Chicago and it was there I renewed my interest in the family business and entrepreneurship. I'm currently serving as the Plant Manager of the Fort Wayne facility, with a plan to move into a financial role within the organization. Our ability to solve complex problems quickly while meeting customer schedules on time and with excellent quality is what I think makes Ottenweller Company so unique. As a Fort Wayne native, it's great to see both the company and community I grew up with growing in so many ways.

I've been with Ottenweller Company for over 25 years, and have had the opportunity to gain experience in several areas of the business such as Accounting, Payroll, and Human Resources. As the HR Manager, I also have responsibility for Training, Safety and Environmental issues. I've been very proud of the strides we have made over the years to improve our processes and provide growth opportunities for so many people. I enjoy learning new things, and there is always something new to learn here! It is important for us to have good working relationships with others in the community that might also be 'competitors' for employees. We share an employment pool, competing for a lot of the same potential employees, so we try to build relationships that allow us to share information such as benefits, training strategies and references.

I am the sales & marketing manager for the Ottenweller Company. I graduated from IPFW with a bachelor's degree in business management. From there I went on to earn my MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. I started my career working for a boat manufacturer where I found my passion for the manufacturing industry. I enjoy working for the Ottenweller Company because of the family-owned culture and the values the business is run on. As the sales & marketing manager, I am responsible for finding new opportunities for our company to diversify the industries we are involved in. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in History. I have worked in Human Resources as White House Liaison to the U.S. Department of Labor, as Domestic Director within the White House Office of Presidential Personnel, and as a partner within my family business in Chicago. I moved here to my wife’s hometown of Fort Wayne to be a part of this great company and to participate in the growth and prosperity of this beautiful city.
